Let the experience
set the detail.
We work with product questions through observation, conversation and synthesis. The method follows what the team needs to understand and the context in which the experience happens.
A study should be focused enough to be useful and open enough to encounter something the brief did not predict.
Keep three things
separate.
What was observed
The action, account or material recorded during the work, with enough context to understand it.
How we interpret it
The connection or theme developed from that material, including the reasoning behind it.
What remains uncertain
The unanswered question, conflicting account or limit that should remain visible in the handover.
The team belongs
in the process.
Clients bring product knowledge, commercial context and the decisions the work must inform. Researchers bring the study approach and responsibility for how the material is gathered and interpreted.
Working together means making those roles explicit, preparing observers and creating time to discuss the implications.

Keep findings useful
after the presentation.
The handover should remain useful after the readout. We agree the outputs with the scope and connect them to supporting material so the team can return to the reasoning.
