The groomer discusses the coat and the service before beginning. The work may include brushing or combing as appropriate, bathing with products selected for the service, and a drying approach suited to the dog.

At collection
Know what was done.
The collection discussion covers the service completed and practical points for the coat between visits. Trimming and clipping are agreed separately and are not automatically included with a bath.
