A first visit,
made simpler.
How do I join a program?
The Wednesday market is drop-in, 10 am to 1 pm, with no referral or registration. For the Thursday kitchen or Saturday workshops, prepare an enquiry on the Visit page. Places are arranged separately.
What does it cost, and what should I bring?
The market is pay-what-you-can; bring a shopping bag. The shared kitchen provides ingredients and equipment for a vegetarian meal. Saturday workshops are free, with tools and materials provided. Bring a container for any kitchen leftovers or a bag for a workshop project.
Do I need experience?
No previous cooking or workshop experience is needed. Hosts introduce the activity and help participants take part. Adult volunteers are also introduced to their roles. If a particular task or feature of the space matters to you, include a practical question on the Visit form.
Can I bring a question about access?
Yes. Use the Visit form for practical questions about getting around the space or taking part in an activity. Choose the program you are interested in so the question has a clear context.
How can I support a program?
You can express an interest in adult volunteering or explore giving preferences. The Behind the programs page explains the food, materials and preparation involved in the work.
