Arrival

Find your
place to begin.

The classroom team welcomes each child and shares a brief handover with the arriving adult. Children put their belongings away and settle into the room.

Morning work

Choose work.
Stay with it.

Children work with materials, receive a presentation or return to an activity. The guide observes and supports the room. The long work period leaves time to concentrate and put work away before choosing something else.

Lunch & outdoors

Eat together.
Head outside.

Children bring a packed lunch from home. Lunch is followed by time outdoors, with room for play, garden work and looking after the shared environment.

Afternoon

Return to work.
Make room for quiet.

The afternoon includes classroom work and quiet time. Children return to materials and projects, then help put the room in order before leaving.

Collection

A handover
before home.

The classroom team hands over to the collecting adult between 2:45 and 3:00 pm. The school day ends at 3:00 pm; there is no extended-day programme.
