COVESailing school

About Cove

Explain it.
Try it.
Try it again.

Cove is an adult sailing school built around practical time aboard. Your instructor explains each task, gives you a turn and helps you use the feedback on your next attempt.

Feedback for
the next attempt.

“Earlier”, “a little less” and “wait for the crew” mean more when they refer to something you have just tried. We keep instruction connected to the boat and the task.

A session includes time to change roles and review what happened. Repetition is part of the lesson, not a sign that you are falling behind.

A shared plan

Everyone should know what the session is working toward and what the current task involves.

Questions belong aboard

Ask for an explanation or demonstration again. Sailing introduces unfamiliar movement and language at the same time.

Conditions matter

The instructor adapts the work to the crew and the water. Completing a checklist does not take priority over those decisions.
