Before leaving the berth

The briefing covers the boat, fitted safety equipment, movement aboard and how to communicate. There is time for questions before the lines come off.

A session has a rhythm

Brief. Try.

Agree the task, the roles and the instructor’s signals before attempting it.

Try

Take a turn at the task with instruction and time to see what changes.

Repeat

Rotate roles and repeat the exercise while conditions and the group allow.

Review

Name what felt more familiar and what needs another session.

Before you sail

Pack for the boat,
not the beach.

Layers, suitable footwear and a small bag leave room to move. The preparation guide explains what to bring and what to confirm with the school.
